On Friday I met a chick who says that her room mate is Beck's guitarist. She lives in Long Beach and her name is Amy. We agreed that we will go either Kayaking or horse back riding sometime next week. It will most likely be kayaking. Hurray new friends!
On Saturday I went to the Mystical Unionist art show at the Hope Gallery in Echo Park, CA. My friend Becky, whom I haven't seen since January, was performing some songs along with her super duper boyfriend illustrator Ron Rege Jr.
It was a social night to say the least.
Later on I met a man who said that he was the tour manager for Broken Social Scene and has worked with the likes of Le Tigre and Interpol. We talked about how the emergency window seats are the best seats on airplanes; crying babies, how to scam airlines for miles, guitar tech jobs, Danzig videos, and why Lawrence, KS is such a darn good college town.
