back checkers and red gammon
Escape from LA and Leaving Los Vegas are great movies.
The last few weeks that I had in Los Angeles were great. I met more people, worked more, and kept truckin'. And prob. could have kept on trucking.
but, I knew that it was time to travel around. I left LA Wednesday afternoon.
The plan was to drive from Los Angeles to Huthinson, KS. My first stop was in Las Vegas (roughly four hours from LA) upon which I spent the night. That town is horrible. . . But they do sell booze 24/7. What ever happens in vegas stays in vegas for a reason I suppose. The next night I took off at six am to what was planned to be Denver. Driving through utah was a blast, I had no idea that the landscape was so pretty around there. Arizona was pretty cool too. I remember going through this part that was so mountainous and gorgeous I can hardly explain how I felt traveling through. Idaho kinda looked like the flint hills only less breath taking, but good in it's own way. Once I got to Denver, which was 15 hours later, I fell asleep outside of a truck stop in my car. It was cold outside because I was 3000 ft above water level. I woke up about three hours later to keep driving to KS. At the time I was considering on going to a concert in denver on the way but I later decided against this. I was doing fine until I landed around Colby, KS, being that I was getting so sleepy and had been in the car for almost 20 hours straight. Outside of Salina, KS I slept in a rest area for two hours and arrived in Hutchinson at 7:40 am. So it took me 25 hours to drive from Las Vegas to KS.
On the more positive note, I finally got a motorcycle. It's a 1978 Honda HAWK. . . .
WORTHLESS INFORMATION.
GO PALIN!
