working out some kinks

. . . and check out the new 0s and 1s website. It's better than dairy queen in July, I tell you what.

Perhaps one the biggest influences upon my ideologies surrounding art and lifestyle, the infamous Dash Snow, just passed away on Monday.

I met him once in Los Angeles, and it was quite an experience. He had a gentle, yet disciplined way of caring himself, being that he appeared to be deftly smart in seeing through situations both rewarding and inherently harmful to himself and others. He was quite kind to me, considering that I saw how he treated other people within our roughly eight hours together. He was in the city for a few days because he had an art show at Pierres (sp?) Projects. I remember that he was very sweet to his wife, whom was with him, and his young child.

at the time I was feeling quite uncertain about where I was going and doing with art, and that I wanted to become more clear, and thoughtful in directions. After talking about this with him for a moment, he spoke an encouraging statement that I think about from time to time. He said, "where there is a will, there is way."

I still believe in that saying today.
