Here are some sultry photographs by NY based artist Yasmine Chatila's Stolen Moments Series. Her work reminds me of a sly new take on Edward Hopper's apartment window paintings along with Hitchcock's paranoid 1954 film Rear Window.
I enjoy how she intertwines themes of intimate romantic connection along with the removed, distant but close, view point. The lyrical quality of these photographs sweetly caresses the delightful peeping tom fascination that have crossed all of our thoughts at one point or another. Furthermore, the photographs speak of privacy matters. Which is a subject best seen and not felt accosted.

i'm pretty sure men elsewhere are more prone to being deemed assholes than they are in america, mainly due to the roles/functions of women in societies that are different than ours. i can attest that men in south america are still behaving with the macho mentality, which lends to their acquisition of the "asshole" title. this however does not speak for everyone in other places, because there are exceptions surely. also, there are exceptions in america too, where men most certainly fit the asshole role/title quite snuggly. i guess there's no way to really know for sure. and does it matter?
