I'm in the ANP !

That's right. The ANP quarterly is an art/music/culture magazine created in Los Angeles by Ed Templeton, Aaron Rose, and Barr. Back in March 07 Barr played at the Pistol in Kansas City. I think tha Barr was so engrossed by the venue he persuaded the ANP crew to do a write up on the venue.

If you see the photo of the naked guy sitting on the shoulders of a dude with a leather jacket on you can see you me. (not the naked guy silly, but the guy with the members only jacket.) I was at a show for the KC cult legends the Ssion when it happened. Before the mayhem started I was standing on the side lines with a few friends and just as the Ssion started their last song and I went into the crowd to cause some serious ruckus. Alex, (again, mr. nude) had no clothes on for the show and I decided that it would be a good idea to carry him around. All I really wanted was a wild show in KC, because I felt that both the venue and the band deserved a raucous local crowd to rev up the place and give KC a name to be proud of.

Anyway, you can get the magazine for free! what a deal! and I think that the pistol carries copies of it. If in LA, you can find it just about anywhere. . . .
